Visitor ( special visitor) of high value in your home and he ask for a cup of
water, you go to the
kitchen, and in the tray of cup you find different types of cups, rubber, silver, gold and glass cup etc. Which would you use to fetch him a cup of water?

In the house of God
there are different types of vessels, gold, silver, wood and earth, which do you
belong to? 2nd Timothy 2:19-22 tells us
19Nevertheless the foundation of God
standeth sure, having seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every
one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a
great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood
and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man
therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meat for the master's use, and
prepared unto every good work. 22Flee
also youthful lusts: but follow rightoeusness, faith, charity, peace, with them
that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Vessels of honour are
vessels set aside for special use, they are sanctified Christians that are pure
and free from all forms of sin, they are holy, peaceful and everything about
them gives glory to God. Note, I did not say some, I said ALL. Everything about
them, their life, their dressing, the places they go etc are in tune with God
ways which are expected from a true-follower of Christ.
Vessels of dishonour
are people who are known to be Christians just by their name, they are yet to
be purged from all forms of iniquities, their flesh is in control over their
spirit man and detects to them what to do. Though they know the right thing and
are eager to do them but one thing or the order compel them not to. You sing in
the choir on sunday and by monday morning you've defile your garment by lying
in the attendance book that you came to work at 8:00am while you actually
arrived at 9:00am. Are you vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meat for the Master's
use?
You can be a christian
and a vessel unto God, but what kind of vessel are you? Sincerely answer that
in your heart, do not deceive yourself, remember verse 19 tells us that The
Lord knoweth those that are His.
If your heart align with
you that you are a vessel of gold congratulations remember to keep standing
lest you fall. If you are of silver please upgrade to gold. If you are either
wood or of earth, my dear, it is not too late to change for the better.
May God give us the
grace to always be a vessel of gold unto honour, sanctified, and meat for the Master's
use, and prepared unto every work in Jesus name.

Sincerely answer that in your heart, do not deceive yourself, remember verse 19 tells us that The Lord knoweth those that are His." Indeed, the Lord, who looks not at the face but the heart, knows those who are His. He can dissect our thoughts and motives.
